For microstructure analysis we have light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with EDX, including digital picture editing and picture analysis. We posses detailed knowledge on the preparation of ceramic microsections, including several etching methods (chemical, thermal, plasma enhanced), We can also produce metallographic microsections.
Microstructural evaluation is carried out on both microsections and crack surfaces. Using Energydispersive Diffraction X-ray (EDX) we carry out qualitative element-analysis. The analysis is done by area or selective analysis and could also be conducted by linescan or mapping.
